Tales of Sunday Morning

Most hilarious Sunday morning conversation I have ever had, courtesy of Baby Girl.

We are sitting in front of a young couple that we see every week that are expecting a baby.  It is before Mass, everyone is greeting people and Baby Girl is playing peekaboo with this couple as I talk to the man next to me.  Baby Girl then grabs my face to turn it behind us and the couple laughs and chatted at her a bit more.

Then I explained to Baby Girl that they were going to have their own baby soon, that God was giving them a baby.  And that right now the baby was in her belly.

Baby Girl stopped and you could almost see the wheels turning in her little brain.  Then she said...

"You eat her all up in your belly?"

Oh.My.Goodness.  She thought this woman ate her child.  It was HILARIOUS.  Wrong.  But hilarious.  Thankfully, everyone also thought it was funny.  We tried to explain, but I am pretty sure Baby Girl just thinks we attend church with cannibals now.
